One day, I browsed through my YouTube videos and stumbled on a video that showed a seven-year-old boy playing the Mozart Concerto on the piano flawlessly. I'm not just talking about good-average skills, but a flawless, perfect performance. I started to wonder how that was even possible...

That curiosity led me to read and watch more about these children, who were apparently labeled "gifted, prodigy, talented, savant." Lots of terms appeared as I dug more into this field.

Various questions popped into my head, and I couldn't sleep, just wandering around. How is that possible? How do you train these children? What kind of method do you use? Is it a God's gift or a result of intense training? Can we create these children?

Then, I decided to write my undergraduate thesis on this topic. Throughout my thesis writing process, I discovered that many people have misconceptions about giftedness, even me. I didn't know that they, too, are considered children with special needs and that they, too, need our help to figure out things in life. People see them as intelligent, witty, bright children who carry darkness inside themselves. They, too, are confused about what's happening and why their world is moving so fast.

It was about more than just writing a thesis and finishing my undergrad. It was a breakthrough moment for me. I found my calling.

However, I was just a 21-year-old girl who (also) tried to figure out the meaning of life. I started to teach in a school, where I realized and saw first-hand how close these children around us are and how closed our eyes are. When I say us, that means to be for us human beings, no matter what background we hold. How do we care about children on the spectrum of Autism or children with Down syndrome, but we abandon these gifted children? There, I set my mind. I will bring this topic out loud.

Anyway, I hope this platform can answer your unanswered questions and be a safe place for you to share your thoughts on gifted children. You are not alone; I got you!
